Service Providers Express Interest in Better Futures

March 2011

Service providers across the country are expressing an interest in the Better Futures outcomes system. So far 30 organisations have registered to take part in the trial. Of these 16 are voluntary sector organisations, 6 are housing associations, 3 are private sector. 5 local authorities have registered as providers of housing support services and 2 local authorities have registered as commissioners. Yvette Burgess, Unit Director, comments that ‘this is a great start and I would urge any organisation providing housing support to consider using the system on a trial basis. It has been designed to produce the sort of information which providers and commissioners of services need to assess the impact housing support has at an individual and service level. It is really significant that service users like Scott Ritchie who have had experience of using the Better Futures system are expressing enthusiasm for the system.'

The Unit has provided training in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh over the last 3 months and further training is being organised in Ardishaig, Argyll and in Glasgow in August.
