CCPS and its P&P programme ran a series of action learning sets involving sixteen local authority commissioners and voluntary sector providers. The report of the project and the collaboration toolkit was launched at the CCPS conference in November 2016.
The introduction of Self-directed Support brings opportunities for support to become more outcomes-based and personalised to meet the needs of individual children and their families. At the same time there are many challenges in changing systems, preparing the workforce, costing services, and shifting from funding by block contracts to Individual Budgets.
