The Scottish Government and Scottish Ministers are keen to engage with front line social service workers by setting up a series of practitioner events across the country. This will enable Ministers and the Scottish Government’s Chief Social Work Adviser, Alan Baird, to engage directly with front line workers from across the diverse spectrum of social services. The purpose of the events are to:
- demonstrate the sector’s significant contribution to delivering a wide range of national outcomes
- support the sector through a significant change agenda
- discuss the recently launched Social Services In Scotland – A Shared Vision And Strategy: 2015-2020. The Vision/Strategy can be found at: www.gov.scot/Topics/People/social-services-workforce
