Workforce Unit & Tayforth Social Services Learning Network - CPD workshop

This learning event is aimed at social service managers registered or due to register with the SSSC. It
will support you to plan to meet the Post Registration and Training Requirements (PRTL) for yourself
and your team. More than this, it will enable you to consider the learning environment you are
creating and supporting for yourself and your staff groups. It will specifically refresh your knowledge
of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) concepts and help you plan your leadership
approach to developing learning within your team. This learning event will count towards your own
PRTL.
This event will be facilitated by Bev Mealyer, Learning Dynamic and has been designed in
partnership with the Workforce Unit and Learning Network Tayforth. Bev is an experienced
Organisation and Learning and Development professional. She is known for a style that
is about working in partnership with people to facilitate change and brings with her a commitment
to developing practice with innovation and energy.

This event will look at the new web-based resources provided by Social Services Knowledge Scotland, and the new Leadership and Management Awards from SQA.
The event has been extended so that Workforce Unit staff can also lead a discussion on the Scottish Government's forthcoming consultation on the proposal to introduce deadlines for the registration of certain categories of the social services workforce.
