Funding for training

£1million for voluntary sector social services organisations

The criteria for this year's Voluntary Sector Development Fund have been agreed.

£1million will be available in the financial year 2008-09 to assist voluntary organisations covered by phase two of the Scottish Social Services Council's registration process.  Funding this year will support:

• Supervisors in care home services for adults
• Practitioners in care home services for adults
• Support workers in care home services for adults
• Managers of housing support services

Application forms and guidance will be obtainable from the Scottish Government by the end of June.  As soon as these are available, you will be able to download these from the Voluntary Sector Social Services Workforce Unit website.
