Self-directed Support, Regulation and Inspection Research 2014

The introduction of the Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013 and the move towards delivering personalised, outcomes based support has generated ongoing debate about the way that services and support are currently regulated.

In February 2014, the Providers & Personalisation Programme launched the results of their research project looking at the challenges and issues for both support providers and the Care Inspectorate as a result of the culture shift and whole systems change required for SDS.
