CCPS has responded to the COSLA consultation on developing a standard financial assessment template, part of its ongoing review of the the care charging guidance. CCPS and partners are signatories to a petition before the Scottish Parliament seeking the abolition of non-residential care charges. Our response highlights concerns about the application of care charges to people who are struggling financially, difficulties with the administration of the charges, and the impact on the relationship between providers and service users, where the former are required to collect the charges.
