Voluntary sector excellence recognised in Care Accolades 2014

CCPS members won half of the awards at this year’s Care Accolades, the prestigious award ceremony which celebrates excellence in social care and social work practice in Scotland.

Penumbra, Turning Point Scotland, Sacro and Key Community Supports came first in each of the following category awards (in respective order) for:

  • Investing in the workforce
  • Adults and Older People
  • Innovation and Re-design
  • Personalisation of services

Includem received the Chair’s Award, in recognition of their Practice Champion role, which is designed to improve outcomes in their work with young people.

Congratulations are also due to the eleven CCPS member organisations who were finalists in the remaining award categories recognised by the Care Accolades. CCPS was also delighted to note that Barnardo’s Scotland, Aberlour Child Care Trust and Who Cares? Scotland won the Cracking Campaign award at the Scottish Charity Awards 2014 for their Coalition of Continuing Care, which campaigned for better support for care leavers in the Children and Young People Bill.
