CCPS issues agreed in voluntary sector debate

On Thursday 17 April, the Scottish Parliament debated a Labour Party motion on support for the voluntary sector - the full text of the debate can be read here. CCPS issued a briefing to MSPs prior to the debate and, together with its partners in calling for Fair Funding for the Voluntary Sector, SCVO and Unison, and other voluntary organisations, was successful in having amendments accepted by Parliament which accept many of the points made in the Fair Funding document and call for action on them; issues raised include a national contracts framework, re-tendering and the involvement of voluntary organisations in the development of Single Outcome Agreements.
