Voluntary organisations across Scotland's social care sector are to benefit from a £1 million investment in staff training from the Scottish Government’s Voluntary Sector Development Fund (VSDF).
The funding for 2011-2012, announced yesterday by the new Minister for Children and Young People Aileen Campbell, is for staff development within voluntary sector organisations who provide services such as care home support for adults, housing support services, and care at home assistance for vulnerable people. For the full list of recipient organisations, you can follow this link to the SSSC website.
The Voluntary Sector Development Fund is now in its 8th year, with CCPS having been instrumental in the fund’s original inception and continuing to play a key role in assisting the government to disburse the funds.
