Scottish Social Services Awards 2019 – open for nominations in January

The 2019 Scottish Social Services Awards will open in the New Year, inviting individuals, teams and organisations working across social services to enter or nominate someone worthy of an accolade.

CCPS members have been prominent amongst the nominees, runners-up and winners every year since these awards were first announced. The 2019 awards offer another opportunity to showcase excellence in our sector. Time to get nominating!

Building on the success of the previous 2 years, the awards continue to include 10 distinct categories, designed to acknowledge innovation and recognise work which helps vulnerable people in our communities. The organisers are looking for those who strive to make change happen, demonstrate a different or enlightened approach and the bright sparks of the future.

The 2019 special Policy Focus award will be on mental health services in recognition of the importance of mental health services for everyone across our society.

The awards will be open for entries online from 7 January 2019, with a closing date of 15 February 2019.  In the meantime, you can start planning what to enter by reviewing the full list of categories, along with the entry guidance and hints and tips.

Be sure to check out the 2018 winners’ entries and films to see what makes a winning entry and the standards our judges will be looking for. You can follow the awards on social media at #SSSA19.
