CCPS publishes latest survey on sustainability

CCPS Business Resilience Survey Report

CCPS has published the results of its annual survey monitoring key trends affecting the sustainability of third sector care and support providers in Scotland.  Survey results and focus group sessions highlighted a number of  issues, including the growing number of members who are withdrawing from tenders and contracts : 60% have withdrawn from or decided not to participate in procurement exercises in the past year; 30% withdrew from one or more contracts; with another 10% actively considering withdrawal.  National policies, including the Scottish Living Wage and integration of health and social care, have not yet begun to have a positive effect on sustainability, and in some cases are having the opposite effect.  And respondents expressed concern about increasing gaps in service provision, especially with regard to people with more complex needs.

CCPS director Annie Gunner Logan will be raising these and other issues with the Health and Sport Committee on Tuesday 12th December 2017 in the context of their session on care home sustainability.
