Audit Scotland publishes RCOP report

Audit Scotland has published its review of the first three years of the Reshaping Care for Older People change fund programme.   The report acknowledged the complexity of the programme, but found that there was ‘little evidence of progress in moving money to community-based services and NHS boards and councils need clear plans setting out how this will happen in practice.’  It also noted that those small scale initiatives that have been developed are ‘not always evidence based or monitored on an ongoing basis and it is not clear how successful projects will be sustained and expanded’.  CCPS served on the Audit Scotland RCOP project advisory group set up to provide guidance on the process of their review.  In addition, CCPS provided oral evidence to the Public Audit Committee during its evidence session on 2 April 2014.
