Better Futures Training
Background
The Better Futures outcomes system has been developed to assist housing support services demonstrate the impact that they have on helping people achieve a better future. The system was formally launched in March 2011 and is now available for services to use on a trial basis. This one day course has been devised to equip organisations with everything they need to use the system.
Who should attend?
This course is aimed at service managers and their staff as well as local authorities interested in promoting the system in their areas.
The objectives of the course are:
- participants will understand how to create support plans within Better Futures
- participants will understand how to set targets and review outcomes
- participants will be able to approach people using services confidently to explain what the system entails and how it is of relevance in their lives
- participants will become familiar with the web based recording tool
- participants will be introduced to the reports available on the system and will have an opportunity to try these out
The Trainer
Yvette Burgess, Director of the Housing Support Enabling Unit, has co-ordinated the development work associated with the Better Futures system and has an in depth knowledge of the web based recording system.
A printed copy of the Better Futures manual will be supplied to each service represented on the course.
