The Centre for Homelessness Impact has developed a suite of resources to support people to help people who are homeless or at risk to stay healthy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes a series of webinars, hearing from international experts.
In the first webinar (available on vimeo), we hear from Dr Al Story and Prof. Andrew Hayward, who put together the COVID-19 clinical homeless sector plan for England. The plan, which is being put in place in London and other cities, includes plans to house all rough sleepers as quickly as possible, identify and rapidly separate and care for people with symptoms and ensure that people are able to effectively self isolate for as long as necessary.
The second webinar (also available on vimeo) features Linda Gibbs, Principal for Social Services at Bloomberg Associates, previously Deputy Mayor for Health and Human Services for New York City, who discussed how existing disaster preparedness plans could be applied to the COVID-19 pandemic response.
Keep an eye of the Centre for Homelessness Impact’s website for announcements about future online events.
