Staff Testing begins in sheltered housing, supported housing and care at homes services

Supplies of LFD kits are being delivered to sheltered housing  and supported housing services across Scotland.  These supplies should enable staff to undergo twice weekly tests for a month.  Guidance is available on the Scottish Government website here.

Care at Home services will use both LFD and PCR test and are asked to liaise with the Health and Social Care Partnerships to organise supply.  In the case of supported housing, HSCPs will decide whether to use LFD or PCR tests.

If your service has not yet been contacted about staff testing and organising supplies contact your Health and Social Care Partnership.  If that does not help then you can contact the Unit  and we will direct your query to the Scottish Government who can help to make sure your service is set up on either the NSS NHS portal or the UK Government portal.  This will help to ensure supplies of the test kits are made available to your service.
