Re-starting sheltered housing guidance

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown sheltered housing services moved swiftly away from delivering face to face services and instead focused on keeping in touch with individual tenants by phone or on line.  Steps were also taken to close down the use of communal rooms and other communal facilities to maintain tenants’ health and safety (though laundries remained open subject to risk assessment and revised access arrangements).  The Unit has worked jointly with the SFHA to produce a guide on restarting sheltered housing as Scotland moves through a phased approach to easing restrictions.
