A letter has been received from Jeane Freeman, 4th March (see the link below). The letter confirms that, after engagement with the sector, Scottish Government and COSLA Leaders, it has been agreed to extend the current arrangements around financial support. The new timeframe is until the end of June 2021; to give time to provide further clarity on the support.
It has also been noted that work will continue with commissioners and providers to continue to work together to consider commissioning arrangements; looking to ensure sustainability. If any provider is concerned about their financial sustainability, this should be raised locally with the commissioning authority in the first instance to ensure appropriate support can be provided.
Guidance was produced in December, this has also been updated this week (a link to this can be found below). If you have any comments or concerns you have not yet shared with us on this matter, please get in touch.
