£500 social care bonus – application date extended
The end of November saw the First Minister announce a one-off payment of £500 (pro rata payment for those working part-time) for health and social care staff, as a thank you for their contribution during the Covid19 pandemic. Scotland Excel is working in partnership with Scottish Government to process the £500 payment in the social care sector.
The initial date for submissions for this payment was 15th February. However, this has been pushed to the end of the month. Forms must now be submitted by 23:59, Sunday 28th February. Scotland Excel may require additional information in order to validate your submitted form. So it is worth keeping a note of your submission workings, with your staff breakdown and numbers (both headcount and FTE) for each individual service you have within your organisation.
Social care providers should use the following online form on behalf of eligible employees. Please note this process is for eligible independent and voluntary providers of social care services in Scotland which are registered with the Care Inspectorate.
