Social Networks Research
The Beyond Homelessness project is about the support services available to those affected by homelessness in your area.
The project is interested in how social networks (the relationships we have with family and friends) are encouraged through support services including; mediation, mentoring, befriending, independent living skills, or anything which helps you stay connected with your local community family and friends.
We want to explore the challenges in delivering these services and understand the individual experience's of receiving them.
Participant recruitment
To understand what works in service delivery we need to listen to the experiences and views of those who know first hand how services can be improved. Service user involvement is key to ensuring this.
For this reason we are looking for people who are currently entering services to support homelessness or are threatened by homelessness to undertake two interviews in July 2011 and March/April 2012 to explore their experiences of receiving support and assistance. Interviews would last around 60 minuets and participants would be reimbursed for their time and expenses.
We are looking for participants in the following LA areas
- Edinburgh City
- West Dunbartonshire
- Aberdeenshire
- Highland
If you would like to know more about the project or participate as in interviewee please contact Katey Tabner at the Rock Trust on 07827851795 or katey.tabner@rocktrust.org.uk
