Last year, the Scottish Government launched its vision for Housing to 2040 along with 15 draft principles. The principles focus on availability, affordability, tenure neutral standards of housing, new build, use of existing housing, working towards zero carbon, sustainable communities, adequate infrastructure and promoting new and existing communities so they thrive. There is reference to the accessibility of homes as well as adaptations .
This workshop is designed to promote discussion about the draft principles from the perspective of those providing housing support services and landlords who work with tenants with support needs. Key questions to be addressed include how we would improve affordability of housing, improve functionality of existing housing and improve space around our homes and promote connected places and vibrant communities.
