The Scottish Government and Scottish Ministers are keen to engage with front line social service workers by setting up a series of practitioner events across the country. This will enable Ministers and the Scottish Government’s Chief Social Work Adviser, Alan Baird, to engage directly with front line workers from across the diverse spectrum of social services. The purpose of the events are to:
- demonstrate the sector’s significant contribution to delivering a wide range of national outcomes
- support the sector through a significant change agenda
- discuss the recently launched Social Services In Scotland – A Shared Vision And Strategy: 2015-2020. The Vision/Strategy can be found at: www.gov.scot/Topics/People/social-services-workforce
Arrive:2.00-2.30 (Tea/Coffee Available)
To book one of the 150 places at the Glasgow event please reply to the Scottish Government’s Office of the Chief Social Work Adviser at OCSWA@scotland.gsi.gov.uk by close of play on Friday 29 May giving your name, job title, and organisation name.
Please note that places are not being allocated on a “first come first served” basis as they are seeking to get a broad representation from across the public, voluntary and independent sectors. They will let you know by Wednesday 3 June if you have a place.
