With the launch of the new model for Community Justice in 2016, Scottish Government announced that a key focus for future work would be the development of a strategic model of commissioning (Scottish Government (2016), “The New Model for Community Justice in Scotland”). In Autumn 2016, we surveyed CJVSF members about their thoughts on a strategic approach to commissioning services in criminal justice. Working with colleagues in CCPS, we used the survey data to inform a lively discussion session at our quarterly members meeting, where we teased out and developed specific ideas about what commissioning of services in criminal justice could or should look like.
Using this information, we developed a briefing on a strategic approach to commissioning in criminal justice. To read our paper, please click on the file link below.File: CJVSF Briefing - A Strategic Approach to Commissioning in Community Justice [601 KB - PDF]
